What is Closet Swap? Closet Swap is Boise’s very first clothing exchange event! Closet Swap brings together fashionable women of all ages and sizes to recycle and refresh their wardrobes. By participating in Closet Swap women not only lessen their lives of clutter, but create a way to recycle, reuse and help others in need.
How does Closet Swap work? Women of all ages and sizes bring in gently used or new clothing that they no longer want, wear or use. We sort the clothing and then everyone dives in for a fun day of free clothes. All unclaimed items are donated.
What is the admission for Closet Swap? Tickets for Closet Swap are $25 pre-sale/$30 at the door. Call to pre-sale tickets, 440-5227.
What is included in my admission price? Upon arrival you’ll enjoy complimentary wine, appetizers and desserts. There will also be a fashion show featuring local boutiques and DJ Noah Hyde spinng records. Can anyone attend Closet Swap? Yes. But swapping is for GIRLS ONLY. Fashionable, fun women of all ages, sizes and styles are invited to swap.
What should I bring to swap? Bring clean, new and like new items you no longer wear or use. We accept clothing, shoes, handbags and jewelry. All sizes and styles welcome. Use the “Golden Rule”: Bring something someone else would want.
We recommend that you Feng Shui your closet and take out items which you have not worn in the last six months or no longer fit. We know all the excuses – “you’ve never worn it, it was a gift, it was on sale, it just doesn’t fit yet”! Give it to someone who can use it and make room in your closet for other fabulous and fashionable items.
What should I NOT bring to swap? Please do not bring any stained, torn, ripped, holy, dirty, hairy, smoky or unusable items. No undergarments.
How many items are we allowed to take? Closet Swap works on an open exchange basis. Bring at least 10 items up to as many as you’d like. While swapping, take as many items as you see ‘fit’. As unclaimed items are donated to charity we ask that you only take items that fit and that you really love!
Are there dressing rooms available? A few dressing rooms will be provided. These may fill fast so don’t be shy and wear your best underwear!
How can I help? Let all your female co-workers, friends and family know about Closet Swap and encourage them to join the event. The more, the merrier!!!
